File extension pnf information

File extension PNF is a format of an INF file. An INF file is a setup information file that is used as a plain text by Microsoft Window for installation of software and drivers. Hence, PNF files are important in the configuration of various computer hardware and software. As a format of the INF files, PNF files are used in the installation of device drivers for hardware constituents. As a result, every version of Windows usually comes with IExpress.exe software, which is used for the creation of various INF-based installations.
As a miscellaneous file, the File Extension PNF forms part of the files maintained by the system configuration that are created whenever an INF file is run. Since the .INF program is run by Windows, all PNF files are usually created and stored in the %Windir%\Inf or %Systemroot%\Inf folder provided in the Windows operating system. Windows is the authentically prescribed operating system that should be used in opening PNF files. Along this line, it is recommended that if PNF files are used by other applications, they should not be opened manually.
